Also, These fine young men, as well as those from our Spring 2008 Initiation class, competed in the Alpha Xi Delta Skit Night on November 2.  The night's theme was "Disney vs. Reality", and Theta Chi took first place!  Congratulations to everyone who participated and helped make the skit so funny!

This year the University of Nebraska at Omaha celebrated its 100th year with a hell of a Homecoming celebration!

Theta Chi Chapter President Raydell Cordell III took Homecoming Prince, the first Theta Chi to make the UNO Homecoming Court to since 1994.  He missed Homecoming King by a slim margin of about 2%.  Theta Chi also took 3rd place in the week long Spirit Cup competition, as well as the Heart of Homecoming award for having the highest percentage of attendance to Spirit Cup events among all Greek organizations on UNO's campus.

The homecoming game was preceeded by a huge tailgate party outside of the stadium.  Theta Chi also held its own tailgate party in the parking lot.  Several Brothers and Alumni all attended before cheering the Mavericks on to a big victory!

Now that the school year is in full swing, and everyone's settled in to their classes and class schedule, it's time to relax a little bit.

Saturday, September 27, at the Shark Club (72nd & Center), Theta Chi will be hosting their first party of the semester.  This party's theme: Graffiti Party!

Wear a white shirt that you don't mind people writing on, some highlighters and magic markers, and be ready for a great time!

Party starts at 9pm and will go until 1am.  For more details, or to RSVP, go to our Facebook event page, OX Presents Thee Graffiti Party.  We hope to see you there!

Remember, 21 means 21!  Underage drinking is not allowed and will not be tolerated.

New Member Class
We are proud to say our New Member class for the Fall of 2008 has reached 13.  This is the largest class our Chapter has had in a while.  We've been struggling to rebuild after a rough year in 2005, and not only have we survived but I think it's safe to say that we are now stable.

Congratulations to our New Members: Blake Carver, Andrew Edwards, Sam Ennis, Mike Foral, Mike Guinn, Devin Gunson, Sam Henscheid, Andrew Montgomery, Eric Reid, Kelly Shea, Jared Spence, Joey Swaboda, and Tim Zbylut.  We know that they will all make great additions to our Brotherhood.

Flag Football Begins!
Today is the beginning of our first flag football game, at 9pm.  We hope that everyone can attend and cheer on Theta Chi!

Jeff Detweiler
UNO student, former roommate to two Theta Chi's, and member of last year's Theta Chi flag football team Jeff Detweiler passed away last night.  He was not a Theta Chi, but he was a good  guy who helped our small Chapter fill the 16-man roster last season.  Join us for as we remember Jeff with a short pre-game prayer, and by wearing his name on our wrists, written on athletic tape.

Egg-a-Chi: Round 2

September 4, 2008 

Thank you to everyone who came out and either threw eggs at us our donated.  We went through all 240 eggs that we brought and raised around $200 for the Siena/Francis House yesterday in a two hour period.

This may not be a large amount of money, but every little bit helps, and we plan on doing more in the future.
